The Oneida-Herkimer-Madison BOCES School Communication Service works closely with the Waterville Central School District to support all communication needs. Together, we help share important news, updates and stories in a clear and consistent way—building stronger connections with families and the community.

The School Communication Service also provides strategic planning for projects, budgets and other important initiatives. Expert staff assist with media relations, graphic design, publications and website development.

SchoolTool Parent Portal

Waterville Central School District uses a web-based student data management system known as SchoolTool. This system allows parents to monitor their student’s progress at any time. This can be helpful to monitor attendance, work completion or grades on exams/tests. In order to take advantage of SchoolTool, you must establish an account. 

Login to SchoolTool.

SchoolTool Mobile App

The SchoolTool mobile application is available to parents/guardians and students who have a SchoolTool parent portal account and an iOS or Android device. App users can log in to see information about student schedules, assignments and attendance. 

This app is available for Apple Devices in the App Store and theGoogle Play Store for Android Devices.

Trouble Logging In?

If you are using a bookmark to access SchoolTool, please be aware the login page changed during the summer of 2023. Create a new bookmark after signing in using the current SchoolTool login page.

Other Troubleshooting

• Clear your browser cache and restart your browser.
• Verify the user email is spelled correctly.
• Verify the user password is typed correctly.
• Verify that you are clicking the correct button that is intended for your SchoolTool login.

ParentSquare

ParentSquare is a communication platform that allows Waterville CSD to unify all parent and guardian communication from the district, schools, classrooms and school activity groups under one umbrella. ParentSquare has replaced SchoolMessenger.

Log in to ParentSquare.

District families may access ParentSquare online or by downloading the ParentSquare mobile application:

• App Store for Apple devices
• Google Play Store for Android devices

Email and text invites will be sent to the email addresses and cell phone numbers of parents and guardians that we have on file in our student management system, SchoolTool. If you did not receive a ParentSquare invite, then it is possible we have the wrong contact information on file.

School Closure Alerts and Information

The Waterville Central School District has established weather-related protocols regarding school closure, delays, early dismissals, or the cancellation of after school and evening activities. The district uses several methods to communicate this information with parents and community members.

In the event that the district must activate its inclement weather plan, parents and community members will be notified through the following:

• ParentSquare email, text alerts and phone calls. Parents must download the ParentSquare app to be connected to ParentSquare (PS). If you are not receiving district communications through PS, please contact your building secretary. At MPS, please contact Mary Blunt at mblunt@watervillecsd.org and at the Jr./Sr. High School, please contact Melissa Stone at mstone@watervillecsd.org. This method is only available to district families and staff.
• The district website at www.watervillecsd.org.
• Local media stations and websites: WKTV, Spectrum News
