Waterville Central School District honors students at underclassmen awards and senior recognition event

Waterville Central School District proudly celebrated the achievements of its students at the first Underclassmen Awards and Honor Recognition for Seniors Ceremony, which took place on June 5 at the Waterville Jr./Sr. High School.

This special ceremony brought together students, faculty, families, and community members for an evening of recognition and celebration. Underclassmen were honored for their academic and extracurricular achievements, while graduating seniors received accolades for their leadership, service, and dedication throughout their high school careers.

“This ceremony marks a new tradition for Waterville Jr./Sr. High School,” said Principal Andre Paradis. “It’s a privilege to recognize the hard work and commitment of our students and to send off our seniors with the acknowledgement they truly deserve.”

In addition to individual awards, the event celebrated academic excellence with the announcement of Edmond Yang as the valedictorian and Adelynn Leslie as the salutatorian of the Class of 2025. Their dedication and achievements exemplify the district’s commitment to fostering ambition and success among its students.

“Each of these students has demonstrated a passion for learning that will carry them to great success beyond the classroom,” said Superintendent of Schools Dr. Jennifer Spring. As we honor our students’ achievements, let us also recognize the teachers, families, and mentors who have guided and supported them along the way. Success is never achieved alone, and their accomplishments reflect a community of encouragement and dedication.”
