Waterville student recognized for compassion and leadership

The Waterville Central School District is proud to recognize eighth grader Kailey Woodward, who went above and beyond to assist elementary school students on the bus route home. Demonstrating calmness, compassion and a caring spirit, she stepped in to provide support when it was needed.

In recognition of her actions, Transportation Supervisor Ethan Ostrander presented Woodward with a certificate, honoring her exemplary leadership.

“Kailey’s actions reflect the values we strive to instill in all of our students—compassion, responsibility and a willingness to help others,” said Ostrander. “We are proud to acknowledge her efforts and the positive impact she made.”

The district commends Woodward for setting an example of empathy and responsibility, and for showing that small acts of kindness can make a big difference.
