Three Waterville students started a new educational journey that focuses on developing practical skills and professional experience.

Sophia Gutko, Abiri Woods, and Rowan Gaudin were inducted into the Oneida Herkimer Madison (OHM) BOCES Pathways in Technology Early College High School (P-TECH) program. This four-to six-year program allows students to earn a high school diploma and an accredited associate’s degree from Mohawk Valley Community College (MVCC) – all at no cost.
“This is an invaluable opportunity for our students to gain industry-relevant skills while earning a college degree,” said Andre Paradis, Waterville Jr./Sr. High School Principal. “P-TECH equips students with essential career-readiness skills such as leadership, communication and problem-solving, helping prepare them for lifelong success.”
In addition to classroom learning, students gain hands-on experience through internships and workforce development. Students enrolled in P-TECH benefit from a specialized curriculum that enables them to study STEAM disciplines while still completing their high school education.
Congratulations Sophia Gutko, Abiri Woods, and Rowan Gaudin for pursuing this opportunity.
