On June 16, the Waterville Jr./Sr. High School Class of 2026 took part in one of the District's most cherished traditions: the annual Senior Walk.

The day began where their educational journey first started, at Memorial Park Elementary School. Wearing their caps and gowns, the seniors walked the halls one last time as students, teachers and staff cheered them on. They also enjoyed one final storytime, listening to “I Wish You More” by Amy Krouse Rosenthal — a heartfelt reminder of the bright futures that lie ahead.

The seniors then returned to the Jr./Sr. High School for a final walk through the halls they have called home for the past six years, greeted by enthusiastic applause and well wishes from students and staff.

This meaningful tradition serves as a powerful milestone that bridges the beginning and end of a student's educational journey within the District. For the graduating seniors, the event offers a moment of reflection on their personal growth and the lifelong friendships formed along the way. For the younger elementary students, watching the seniors pass by in their caps and gowns provides tangible inspiration, showing them what hard work and perseverance can achieve as they look ahead to their own futures as graduates.

The Waterville Central School District congratulates the Class of 2026 on its upcoming graduation and wishes the students the best of luck in all their future endeavors.
