MPS Wraps Up Successful Wild About Learning Summer Camp

From July 6 through 31, Memorial Park Elementary School (MPS) hosted its Wild About Learning summer camp for incoming kindergarten through fifth grade students.

Each day offered camp participants a unique opportunity to learn through hands-on activities. Programming ranged from interactive educational lessons and social-emotional learning with Cornell Cooperative Extension on Mondays to visits from the Utica ZooMobile and field trips to the Waterville Public Library and the Root Farm.

Campers celebrated their final day of camp on July 31 with a classic summer treat: popsicles!

The monthlong program gave students a chance to participate in enriching activities and field trips while connecting with their peers in a safe, supportive environment. A special thank you to all the staff members, community partners and volunteers who helped make this year's camp a success! We look forward to welcoming campers back next summer.
