FFA Members Gain Leadership and Outdoor Skills at Camp Oswegatchie

Thirty-two members of the Waterville Junior/Senior High School FFA chapter traveled to the Adirondacks this August for a week of outdoor adventure and hands-on leadership development at the Oswegatchie Educational Center.
From Aug. 2 to 7, students joined more than 1,000 FFA members from across New York state at the 1,200-acre forested camp in Croghan. Surrounded by the natural beauty of the region, campers participated in team-building challenges, environmental education and outdoor recreation designed to foster personal growth, self-confidence and leadership skills.
During their stay, Waterville FFA members took part in high- and low-ropes courses, mountain biking, horsemanship, water activities and hiking, while also connecting with state FFA officers and fellow FFA members from across New York.
"At Camp Oswegatchie, we learn so much, make new friends and have fun!" said Waterville FFA member Hailey Glazier.
Owned and operated by the New York FFA Leadership Training Foundation, the Oswegatchie Educational Center provides year-round educational and recreational experiences that align with the core mission of FFA.
Congratulations to our Waterville FFA members on a memorable week at Camp Oswegatchie! The Waterville FFA chapter is already looking forward to returning to Camp Oswegatchie during the first full week of August 2027.
