Degrees and Certifications:
Dear Parent or Guardian,
I am honored to be your child’s third grade teacher. I was delighted to join the MPS family last year after teaching second grade for twelve years at Brookfield CSD. I've found Waterville Central School to be a remarkable school community! I'm sure that like your child, you're wondering "who is this new teacher?" As a parent, I fully understand your wonder. There is absolutely nothing more precious than your children and I sincerely appreciate you sharing them with me this year. So let me share a little about myself so that you have a sence of who your child will be spending this incredible year with. first and foremost, love teaching! There is nothing greater than helping a child shine on their strengths and find success in their struggles.
I graduated form SUNY Oneonta in 2002 with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and Special Education. In 2005 I graduated from touro College with a master's degree in Elementary and Special Education. hroughtout the years I have had the honor of being a Common core Ambassador, RTI member, Good Morning Program director, among other roles. I'm also the mother of a ten year old and a seven year old. I'm certain that being a mother has taught me just as much about children and teaching as my many years in college.
As your child's teacher, I'm looking forward to working together to help your child make third grade a success. I feel strongly that it's important that you hear just as many victories in the classroom as challenges. So know that if you get an email or phone call it may very well be good news to share. Please also know that you are welcome to contact me at any time with questions or concerns. I can be reached via email day or night and via phone at school from 7:30-3:30. You are a very important part of the classroom community. Looking forward to a great school year together!
Mrs. Sabrina Denton
