Degrees and Certifications:
Dear Parent or Guardian,
I am honored to be your child’s third grade teacher. It's going to be a wonderful year together! This year we will watch your child grow in so many ways. As I look forward to getting to know your child, I'd like to share a little bit about myself. As a parent, I absolutely understand the wonder or even worry about who your child will spend the year with. So here's the scoop on me...
I graduated from SUNY Oneonta in 2002 with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and Special Education. In 2005, I graduated from Touro College with a master's degree in Elementary and Special Education. I taught second grade at Brookfield Central School for twelve years. I was welcomed into the Waterville family in 2014 and have been teaching third grade ever since. Throughtout the years I have had the honor of being a Common core Ambassador, RTI facilitator, and a Mentor Teacher. This is my seventeenth year teaching and I absolutely love it!
Along with being a teacher, I'm blessed to be a mom of two very busy children. My son is headed to high school and my daughter is in the middle school at a local district. We're a soccer family so outside of school you can often find us coaching or playing soccer both indoors and outdoors.
As your child's teacher, I'm looking forward to working together to help your child make third grade a success. I feel strongly that it's important that you hear just as many victories in the classroom as challenges. So know that if you get an email or phone call it may very well be good news to share. I will be sharing often on our Remind page so please join as soon as you recieve the instructions to do so. Please also know that you are welcome to contact me at any time with questions or concerns. I can be reached via email day or night and via phone at school from 7:30-3:30. You are a very important part of the classroom community. Looking forward to a great school year together!
