Waterville Students Learn About Shared Civic Responsibility

On Jan. 11, juniors and seniors at Waterville Jr./Sr. High School had the opportunity to learn about civic responsibility as they listened to New York State Assemblyman Brian Miller during his visit to the school.

Miller shared insights from his tenure as an elected official, answering student questions in an effort to amplify student voices.

Miller then met with students with the Waterville FFA chapter.

“Giving our students the chance to learn about their civic duty from a sitting state lawmaker is impactful,” said Waterville Jr./Sr. High School Principal Jennifer Dainotto.

“Students were able to hear personal experiences about how local government operates,” Dainotto continued.

Miller represents Assembly District 122 in the New York State Assembly.
