Waterville CSD Residents Approve 2026-27 Budget; Elect Three Board of Education Members
The Waterville Central School District thanks all of the District residents who took the time to participate in the District Budget Vote and Board of Education Election on May 19, 2026. Your continued support and engagement helps strengthen our schools and community.
District Budget Vote
Voters approved the District’s $23,862,837 budget for the 2026-27 school year with 77.7% voter approval; 230 yes votes and 66 no votes.
Bus Proposition
The proposition authorizing the District to purchase two large school buses and one wheelchair accessible bus passed with a vote of 233 yes; 62 no.
Capital Reserve Fund
The proposition authorizing the District to expend up to the maximum of $250,000 from the existing Capital Reserve Fund for the purpose of purchasing furniture, equipment, instructional technology passed with a vote of 241 yes; 52 no.
Waterville Public Library Proposition
The proposition authorizing the District to levy and collect a tax in the amount of $281,650 for the Waterville Public Library passed with a vote of 246 yes; 51 no.
C.W. Clark Memorial Library Proposition
The proposition authorizing the District to levy and collect a tax in the amount of $109,996 for the C.W. Clark Memorial Library passed with a vote of 241 yes; 55 no.
Waterville Public Library Trustees
Two candidates were elected as trustees on the Waterville Public Library Board. Debra Olin received 222 votes and Judith Kemp-Barnes received 261 votes.
Board of Education Election
Two candidates sought election to three open board of education seats. These seats are for three-year terms from July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2029.
The results are as follows:
Justin Barth, 245 votes
Stephen Stanton, 199 votes
Pete Casatelli (write-in), 82 votes
