High School Students Shine at Oneida County Envirothon
On April 28, Waterville Senior High School students took their conservation knowledge into the field at the annual Oneida County Envirothon, held at the Utica Zoo and the NY Energy Zone.
Competing alongside students from 10 additional area schools, our Eagles visited various stations to test their expertise in critical environmental areas. The topics covered include forestry, aquatics, soils, wildlife and current environmental issues.
This event was a perfect opportunity for our students to showcase the skills they’ve cultivated through our Agricultural Science curriculum and extra-curriculars like the Future Farmers of America (FFA) club. We are proud of our students for representing Waterville and demonstrating their commitment to environmental stewardship!
