The Drawing &Painting course is designed to teach a wide variety of drawing techniques and medium, through basic drawing instruction and a survey through late 19th and early 20th century western and European art history. Design and composition are taught through both representational and abstract art. Each project will emphasize the learning and understanding of The Elements of Art, and The Principles of Design. 

The half of the course is spent on drawing techniques and medium and the second half of the course focuses on painting and art history. Students will earn how to stretch their own canvas.
