Mrs. Picolla is a graduate of New Hartford Central School.  She earned dual Bachelors Degrees in English Textual Studies and English Education from Syracuse University.

Mrs. Picolla enjoyed her student teaching experience at Liverpool Middle School with Mrs. Spring. Her Master's Degree in English Education is from the State University College at Oneonta.

She began teaching in 1995 at New Berlin High School (now Unadilla Valley). She made the smart move to Waterville High School in 1999 and taught English 11 until 2004. After her maternity leave, Mrs. Picolla is now teaching English 7 and loves it!

She resides in New Hartford with her husband, daughter, and son.
