Degrees and Certifications:
I was born and raised in Newburgh, New York. I graduated from Newburgh Free Academy and then Attended school at SUNY Oswego. During that time I worked on my degrees in Geochemistry and Geology and attended Oregon University for a summer program. Afterwards I worked on my graduate work and received a Master in Teaching at SUNY New Paltz.
My first teaching position was at Camden High and Middle schools as .5 science teacher. Next I was hired to be an Earth Science teacher at Clinton High School. After four years at Clinton I was hired to be the Earth Science teacher here at Waterville junior/high school. I have been teaching at Waterville since 2001.
In my tenure at Waterville I have also worked at New York State Education Department as a Educational Specialist.
In 2014 I applied and was accepted into the NYS Master Teacher Program.
I co-founded in 2002 the WCS Outdoors Club.
