Our school has a Response to Intervention (RtI) process in place, helping identify students who require additional supports. The RtI committee meets every 4-6 weeks and develops interventions an strategies for the students struggling to complete grade level work. These students are closely monitored and if the interventions are not working at the rate expected, the student will be referred to the Comittee on Special Education. However, at any time, a parent has the right to refer their child for a psycho-educational evaluation. This evaluation helps to determine if your child qualifies for special education services or programs. If at any time, you suspect your child may have a disability, please contact Julie Tangorra, Director of Special Programs, to discuss the process for an evaluation.
